On Monday, commuters in central Bengaluru are advised to plan their journey carefully and to be in the right places, as the Karnataka Ministers' Oath-taking ceremony will be held on Monday at Lok Bhavan at 4:00 PM. As the city is expected to be full of high-level political leaders, dignitaries and guests, the Bengaluru Traffic Police is putting in place traffic restrictions in the CBD.
The restrictions will continue from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and heavy vehicles will not be allowed in Bengaluru city limits by 10:00 PM.
The roads are closed for general traffic
Consequently, except for vehicles carrying valid event passes, traffic has been restricted on the following roads: Cubbon Road from BRV Junction to CTO Junction, up to Lok Bhavan. Balekundri Junction towards Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Road. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Road from KR Circle to Kashmir Junction. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Road from KRIMS Junction towards CTO Junction. Roads connecting St. Mark's Road to CTO Junction.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid these stretches of the route during the restriction period to avoid delays.
Alternate Routes Suggested
In order to reduce congestion, the Traffic Police has suggested the following alternative routes:
Vehicles from BRV Junction towards the city centre should travel via Shivajinagar and Anil Kumble Junction. Cunningham Road can be used to enter Vasanth Nagar. Vehicles going from KR Circle to Kashmir Junction should drive on Nrupathunga Road. Those going towards Lok Bhavan can bypass the restricted area on Anil Kumble Junction and BRV Junction. Commuters from Ulsoor and Old Airport Road to Hebbal or Kempegowda International Airport should use Shivajinagar-Cunningham Road-Vasanth Nagar. Vehicles from Old Madras Road heading to Hebbal should use the Ulsoor Lake -- Tin Factory -- Outer Ring Road. Parking Restrictions
There is parking completely prohibited on several roads around the venue, including:

LH Road
KRIMS Road
Kasturba Road
Cubbon Road
Infantry Road
Palace Road
Nrupathunga Road
T. Chowdaiah Road
Ramana Maharshi Road
Internal roads inside Cubbon Park
Drivers in these areas would be reminded not to park vehicles in these areas, so that security arrangements are put in place to make the roadways secure and traffic flowing through the area safe and clear.
Heavy Vehicle Ban
Besides road closures, heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter Bengaluru city limits from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Advisory for Commuters
In the afternoon and evening hours, traffic officials have advised people to avoid unnecessary travel through the CBD, Lok Bhavan, Vidhana Soudha, and Cubbon Park area. People should leave office early, use Bengaluru Metro when possible, and take traffic diversions to reduce delays.
When congestion is expected to be greater in the evening, commuters should be looking for live traffic updates before driving and working with traffic officials working in the city.
