Tackled with worsening congestion, residents, pedestrians and drivers begun to find it even more difficult than they were before to manoeuvre through the area, and traffic officials had to intervene. Bengaluru Traffic Police officers were also notified and they showed up on the scene to address the issue. There were verbal clashes between a vehicle owner and traffic personnel during their interaction.

Authorities are investigating complaints of inappropriate behavior against law enforcement, though there’s yet to be confirmed what in a conversation happened. It once again highlighted endemic issues of driving discipline and illegal parking in cities such as Bengaluru. Places with lots of vehicles and a narrow parking deficit are prone to heavy congestion in terms of traffic non-compliance  literally hundreds of commuters affected with a single incident (within minutes). Traffic experts have said that one badly parked vehicle can upend the flow of an entire corridor, particularly in narrow or highly trafficked high-traffic road, like the one on DVG Road.

They emphasize the necessity to exercise a very vigilant approach in enforcing parking rules and that it would have been a far more efficient action if we could simply enforce that in order to reduce such incidents from occurring at all. They are also required to confirm a vehicle registration and if any verify whether or not it complies with interstate vehicle usage rules. But policy-makers have set that vehicle registration from a different state is itself not an offense, as long as the owner obeyed local transportation rules and taxes as required. Although the response to events in the story has been mixed among the public.

For much of this time, many commuters have complained about a number of traffic violations that happen all over the city. Once again, civic observers are advised not to generalize from one isolated incident about a whole ethnicity or background and to focus instead on enforcement of rules. Bengaluru traffic police will review CCTV in the vicinity and will accordingly act after this discovery.

Penalties are possible in terms of penalizing traffic offences such as illegally parking, obstruction of traffic as well as if proved any misconduct. Although police follow-up investigations are ongoing, the incident also underscores the significance of sober driving and civic responsibility in facilitating the efficient flow of urban transport. People will now work with traffic operators, and report an illegal act to prevent people from ever relaying a similar situation.
