BESCOM Power Cut: Check 80+ Bengaluru Areas Facing Outage on Nov 23

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced extensive power disruptions across more than 80 localities in Bengaluru on Sunday, November 23, 2025. The cuts are necessary to facilitate urgent maintenance and infrastructure work being carried out by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).

The major outages are centered around two key areas: emergency repairs at the Soladevanahalli Sub-Station and third quarterly maintenance at the Yelahanka Substation. BESCOM officials have stated that this work is critical for reinforcing power lines, replacing damaged components, and ensuring the long-term stability of the city's power grid.

Note: Residents in the Soladevanahalli Substation zone have been experiencing intermittent power disruptions since Thursday, November 20, with the work culminating on Sunday, November 23.

BESCOM has apologized for the inconvenience and urged residents in the affected areas to take necessary precautions to manage the disruption:

  • Charge Devices: Ensure all essential devices, including mobile phones, power banks, and inverters, are fully charged before the outage begins.

  • Water Supply: Store sufficient water, especially for morning chores, as pumps relying on electricity will be impacted.

  • Work Schedule: Residents who work from home (WFH) or run businesses are advised to make alternative arrangements or adjust their schedules.
