All four defendants were arrested within hours of the incident, which sealed the case. This was a case of Gauribidanur town by the premises of Gauribidanur Town Police Station. Gauribidanur was said to have been on the run with Rs 7.5 lakh to buy an automobile after being assaulted by the defendant, who then alleged the victim Shivashankar Aradhya, who is living at Vinayaka Layout.

Sources in the police indicated the robbery was not a spur-of-the-moment occurrence but rather a well-organised attack, which was reportedly directed by the victim’s own relative, Yashwanth Aradhya. An investigation by the PI shows that Yashwanth told Shivashankar the car would be worth good money if he buys and also convinced him to lay claim to cash for the purchase.

According to the plan, Shivashankar was travelling with the money when two bike-borne miscreants intercepted him while he was travelling along the road. They reportedly threw chilli powder into his eyes, wielding a machete and took money from him before they fled. The attackers struck with a bang, and afterwards, he was stunned and totally helpless.

When the police arrived, the incident was immediately reported by residents. Local police immediately implemented an extensive search in pursuit of identifying the suspect, due to the seriousness of the matter and the astronomical amounts of money involved in this case. In another positive development, the Gauribidanur Town Police solved the robbery incident in almost two hours post-incident.

The high-speed operation led to four suspects being arrested for their first names: Yashwanth Aradhya, Bharath, Darshan and Vishakantha. Yashwanth Aradhya, a close associate of Shivashankar Aradhya, was said to have provided detailed information about the money transfer to his close associate groups of friends and helped coordinate the burglary.

After the suspect provided the victim’s route as well as the timing, it was suggested that the attack was facilitated. Officials said PSI Lalithamma and her team were key to tracking them down and arresting both promptly. A few hours after the robbery took place, the police, with support from local intelligence and pieces of technical evidence, began to track down the suspects and pin them down.

Suspect attacks are taking folks by surprise in Gauribidanur, in which a close family member is thought to have been a crime planner. More and more crimes associated with people’s personal betrayal and greed towards money also concern many locals, she said.

An investigation is being carried out as to whether the suspect was employed in the same industry as the victim and whether the cash was found. Investigators have also investigated whether any other gang members were involved in helping carry out the robbery either sooner in advance or at the end.

And the case, as always demonstrated, is that offenders in Karnataka are increasingly committing chilli powder attacks, where they attempt to blind people temporarily and then release them after they have received the money or their belongings.

The suspects were caught before they could escape the township owing to the initial police reaction. Tackled swiftly, the operation was celebrated by Gauribidanur dwellers. They also praised the speed of the Gauribidanur police for the success of the operation.
