Delhi Power Cut June 6: Area-Wise Power Outage Timings and Affected Localities

People in various parts of Delhi may experience power outages on Saturday, June 6, as electricity distribution companies carry out routine maintenance and network upgrade work on power supply maintenance and network upgrades. Temporary shutdowns are planned to enhance power supply reliability and build up power infrastructure ahead of the peak summer demand season. Similar maintenance-related outages have been announced periodically by TPDDL and BRPL across different parts of the national capital.

According to available schedules and recent outage patterns, localities in North, North-West, South and West Delhi are likely to see temporary electricity disruptions at different times during the day. The outages are expected to be localized and time-bound, and power supply will be restored after the maintenance work is complete.

In North and North-West Delhi areas like Bawana, Narela, Badli, Mangolpuri, Siraspur and nearby industrial sectors may experience power cuts in the morning and midday hours. In past schedules issued by TPDDL, outages were expected between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM in different blocks and sectors depending on the maintenance requirements.

Several other parts of South Delhi are also expected to be affected. Localities such as Kalkaji, Nehru Enclave, Hauz Khas, Jia Sarai, Chhatarpur, Tigri Colony, Sangam Vihar have also had maintenance shutdowns. Residents in these areas will experience short interruptions of one to three hours.

West and South-West Delhi will also experience temporary outages at late morning and afternoon in Uttam Nagar, Vikaspuri, Dwarka, Najafgarh, Mohan Garden, Palam, Raj Nagar and Sitapuri. Local residents are advised to keep the essential items charged up and make arrangements for this before the scheduled shutdown.

Power distribution companies have said that these outages are a part of routine maintenance and infrastructure enhancement works to alleviate unexpected breakdowns in times of high electricity demand. Most of these interruptions are expected to be temporary but residents should check with their discoms for any last-minute changes in schedule.

With Delhi still in the midst of a hot summer, the electricity demand remains high, and authorities have advised consumers to use power wisely and prepare for short-term interruptions to power consumption as maintenance work is still ongoing.
