A devotee from Tirupati has made a generous contribution to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), donating 105 hearing aids worth ₹20 lakh to support children with hearing impairments under the temple trust’s Sravanam Project.
The donation was made in the name of N. Virat, with his father Amar Nagraram handing over the devices to TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal. The hearing aids will be distributed to children who successfully complete training under the Sravanam initiative, ensuring they overcome hearing difficulties and lead fuller lives.
The Sravanam Project, run by TTD, provides audiological services, therapy, and rehabilitation for children with hearing challenges. Officials said the new devices will significantly strengthen the program’s reach and impact.
TTD, which manages the world‑famous Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala, also oversees several social service projects in education, healthcare, and welfare. This latest donation highlights how devotees often extend their devotion beyond rituals, contributing to initiatives that uplift society.
Speaking on the occasion, EO Singhal expressed gratitude to the donor family, noting that such contributions embody the spirit of service and align with TTD’s mission of combining spirituality with social responsibility.
