The two boys, both in 10th grade, went out from their home town Jharkhand with one purpose that was to visit the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. Instead of the everyday trip straight there and straight in, they put on roller skates and began their journey through highways, in towns and villages.

Starting Point: Koderma, Jharkhand

Destination: Vaishno Devi shrine, Trikuta Hills, Jammu & Kashmir

Distance: Nearly 2,500 km on roller skates

Their parents wanted to stop the journey at the first opportunity, concerned about safety and taking such large risks in their children. But the boy's persistence stayed in our path.

But travelling on roller skates is not quite so easy. The boys face the physical strain of skating long hours daily. These road safety risks with traffic and uneven surfaces. Weather-related issues of heat and rain and cold.

Nobody believed they were to go on and complete the journey; people who cast doubt on their ability to do so. With all of these obstacles, the pioneers are able to travel and still do so and we are in admiration of them.

And this journey also isn’t just another viral story it reflects youthful devotion to Mata Vaishno Devi. It shows discipline and endurance at achieving some kind of spiritual goal. It warms the heart for others to continue to achieve dreams where they are, and no matter how far they have gone there they came to a solution.

Their skating pilgrimage underscores that faith can take so many forms and determination will be able to transform even the most crazy journey into interesting works.
