It's put an eerie twist on legal and the local people in Hyderabad after a lawyer was reportedly killed in a suspected hit-and-run incident outside the Masab Tank area in the perimeter of Nampally Police Station.
The murderer is named Khaja Mohiuddin. The case, however weak, occurred soon after the lawyer was about to gain entrance to his parked vehicle, according to a site-reported statement of action.
Witnesses said an SUV was coming at him from behind at a speed that was at the top of the speed limit, crashing into him, then immediately running the vehicle out of the scene after the collision on the roadway, police said. Witnesses and members of the community are said to have fled for help as the injured lawyer was being taken to a hospital close to the scene.
And he was hospitalised but died as he received medical help for his injuries. The lawyer’s death amid bad news has stoked considerable speculation among his family members, some of whom have proposed the crash could not have been a regular traffic accident. They say they also believe the crash was almost certainly a premeditated assault on Mohiuddin.
