Kalaburagi: An alleged former murder accused, 46-year-old Ravi, was brutally murdered near the Shwetha Bar in the Gubbi Colony area of Kalaburagi on Sunday night in a gun attack that has rattled residents and business owners; police are investigating the reason behind the attack.
According to the initial information, Ravi had just arrived at the bar when he was confronted by three unidentified attackers. The attack could be related to old personal enmity, investigators say.
Attack Carried Out with Sharp Weapons
Police said that the attackers ambushed Ravi near the bar and assaulted him with sharp-edged weapons.
Ravi, though he tried to escape, suffered multiple severe injuries during the assault and collapsed at the scene because of heavy bleeding before help could reach him.
The accused fled immediately after the incident, taking advantage of the darkness.
Police Begin Investigation
Police rushed to the scene, secured the area, and gathered evidence after receiving information about the incident.
The body was sent for a post-mortem examination, followed by forensic teams investigating the scene of the crime.
