Beginning tomorrow, February 28, 2026, KSEAB (Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board) from Karnataka will conduct the state’s Second Pre-University Certificate (2nd PUC) examinations. Thorough Preparedness and Security Measures
The KSEAB has taken every effort to ensure a seamless, transparent, and malpractice-free examination process. To enable the high volumes of applicants, the board has set up 1,217 examination centers around the state.
In a big move for technological accountability, all centers will be Webcasting observed under direct supervision of the DCs. A prohibitory order (Section 144) will be applied in advance of every center within a 200-meter radius of all centres to prevent such external interference and to keep the sanctity of the examinations. In addition, Cell phones and digital devices have been banned in the halls for students and faculty at all times.
The 2026 Examination Phase Summary
- Demographic (S): Science ranks first with 2,92,645 students, followed by Commerce with 2,11,174, and Arts with 1,42,982 candidates.
- Timing: Exam will be conducted all at 1 hour in a single shift from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
- Result Date: The board has conveniently agreed the result announcement will occur on April 7, 2026.
- Policy of Second Chance: As a student friendly rule, students who fail in their first round will be given a second shot, with the supplementary/second exam expected to start on April 25, 2026.
