The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has officially released the time table for the SSLC (Class 10) Preparatory Examinations 2026 today. To ensure students are well-prepared for the final board exams, the board has introduced a structured three-phase preparatory system.
Three-Phase Examination Model
The KSEAB will conduct three separate rounds of preparatory exams starting from January 2026. This initiative is designed to help students familiarize themselves with the exam pattern, manage time effectively, and reduce the anxiety associated with the final board exams.
Phase 1: Preparatory Exam 1 (January 5 – January 10, 2026)
The first phase will kick off the new year, focusing on baseline preparation.
- January 5: First Language (Kannada, English, Hindi, etc.)
- January 6: Mathematics
- January 7: Second Language (English, Kannada)
- January 8: Third Language (Hindi, Sanskrit, etc.)
- January 9: Science
- January 10: Social Science
Phase 2: Preparatory Exam 2 (January 27 – February 2, 2026)
The second phase allows students to refine their knowledge after receiving feedback from the first round.

- January 30: Third Language

- February 2: Social Science
Phase 3: Preparatory Exam 3 (February 23 – February 28, 2026)
The final mock run before the main board exams in March.

Important Exam Details
- Timings: All preparatory exams will be held in a single shift from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM.
- Model Papers: Along with the timetable, the KSEAB has also released Model Question Papers on their official website to aid student practice.
- Final Board Exam Date: The main Karnataka SSLC Exam-1 is scheduled to begin on March 18, 2026.
