The sky is cloudy, and cloudy conditions are expected to persist in Bengaluru with scattered showers continuing for two or three days, likely occurring in the afternoon and night. The IMD issued an orange alert for Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, and Dharwad districts, warning of heavy rainfall and the possibility of disruptions related to power and road issues.

Moreover, a yellow alert has also been declared in many other districts, including Bidar, Bagalkot, Gadag, Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Hassan, Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Ramanagara, Bengaluru Rural, and Bengaluru Urban regions. These regions are likely to experience moderate rainfall, and thunderstorms are also expected.

The IMD has predicted widespread rainfall in coastal and interior regions. Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Uttara Kannada are expected to receive heavier showers. In North Interior Karnataka, areas including Belagavi, Bagalkot, Dharwad, Vijayapura, Kalaburagi, Bidar, Gadag, and Haveri may also be affected by thunderstorms.

Other South Interior districts such as Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu, Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Tumakuru, and Ramanagara will experience rain accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of 30–40 km/h.

Although much of the state can expect rainfall, it's possible that some parts may experience dry weather. Residents in areas under alert should remain cautious, as strong gusts and sudden downpours could cause localized disruptions.
