According to police sources, the case began last month when a complaint was filed alleging harassment and coercion linked to a rejected marriage proposal. The accused, Manohar, was subsequently taken into custody and is currently lodged in judicial remand as investigations continue.
Police officials have stated that multiple allegations were raised during the initial complaint, and all aspects of the case are being examined carefully. As part of the investigation process, statements from witnesses, family members, and medical records are being reviewed to establish a clear sequence of events.
Today, the woman was found dead at her residence. Preliminary information suggests that she died by suicide, although authorities have not yet issued a final confirmation on the circumstances surrounding her death. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Officials emphasized that it would be premature to draw conclusions until forensic reports and investigative findings are completed. Police teams are currently examining digital evidence, communication records, and earlier case filings to determine whether there is any direct connection between the earlier allegations and the recent incident.
The incident has triggered concern among local residents, with many calling for a thorough and transparent investigation. Authorities have assured that the case will be handled with utmost seriousness, given the sensitivity of the situation.
Senior police officials also stated that they are following all legal protocols and will ensure that any wrongdoing, if proven, will be dealt with strictly under the law. At the same time, they cautioned against spreading unverified information on social media, as it may interfere with the investigation process.
The accused, Manohar, remains in judicial custody while the case continues to be examined from multiple angles, including allegations made during the initial complaint and any possible escalation of the dispute.
Women’s safety advocates have also highlighted the importance of timely intervention in cases involving harassment complaints, urging authorities and support systems to act quickly in preventing escalation of conflicts.
As the investigation progresses, officials are expected to release further details after forensic and legal review. For now, the case remains under active inquiry, and authorities have requested the public to avoid speculation until verified facts are established.
