According to police reports, the victim worked at a packers and movers firm and the accused, Harjinder Singh Mann, 39, had also worked there. Mann confronted her inside the office at 7:40 p.m. and had a heated argument where Mann, angry at the breakup six months ago, pulled out a knife and stabbed her several times.

Witness accounts and CCTV footage show the ferocity of the assault. Mann, who repeatedly stabbed the woman, turned the weapon on himself and cut his throat in a desperate effort. The victim was taken to Fortis Hospital where doctors declared her dead due to excessive blood loss and severe injuries. Mann is in critical condition and is being kept under medical supervision.

Police have registered a murder case against Mann and sealed the crime scene for forensic examination. CCTV footage of the attack will be crucial in order to reconstruct the sequence of events. But authorities are also looking at whether colleagues and family members were involved in the incident.

Dimple had ended her relationship with Mann six months earlier. Her family says Mann was harassing her ever since the breakup and she tried to get her life back but he was harassing her again. The family is seeking further investigation and justice, and the accused will be brought to justice.

This incident highlights the need for better workplace safety measures and awareness around domestic and relationship-related violence. Organizations need to be proactive in protecting employees from harassment and threats, and society must deal with the stigma and silence surrounding abusive relationships.
