In Mysuru, a 16-year-old student and three others, all killed in a collision caused by the popping of a tyre on a motorcycle, were involved in a road accident. It occurred in Ganeshapura village in Nanjangud taluk when a family headed for home from the temple.
The victim is Sinchana, daughter of Mahadevaswamy, living in Maduvinahalli village. Mahadevaswamy was, apparently, on a motorcycle with his wife, daughter Sinchana and son after going to the Beladakuppe Mahadeshwara Swamy Temple in the town for prayers, they said.
The family was travelling toward Maduvinahalli when the accident occurred on the main road from Hediyala to Beguru, near Ganeshapura. The tyre of the motorcycle exploded as it turned around, according to reports. The rider lost control when a sudden blowout occurred, skidding the bike and also all four on board were forced onto the road.
All members of the family were injured in the fall. Outside and within blocks, passersby and all locals hurried to call for medical assistance. The injuries were soon taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. Still unsuccessful in rescuing her, Sinchana was fatally hurt as she made her way to the hospital, and emotionally traumatised by the trauma of her family and the citizens.
Thus, Sinchana was a keen, bright SSLC candidate. Her death is casting a cloud of gloom over her town, with many latching onto that feeling of young life gone. The other injured family members are said to be in very bad condition. Right now, they are being medically treated and tracked closely by medical doctors for any improvement.
The crash has also reportedly been captured on surrounding CCTV pictures, which authorities are now reviewing as part of their investigation. Tyre burst was also mentioned by the public as the cause of the accident, but speed, state of road, and/or maintenance are also being scrutinised.
