Neet PG 2026 re-examination is scheduled on Saturday, September 5, for 2,445 candidates who were affected by disruptions in the previous examination on August 30. In Jaipur, Rajasthan, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) arranged the special examination, after candidates at two examination centres were not able to take the test due to power supply failure.
The re-examination will be held from 3 PM to 6:30 PM on 5 September 2026. Candidates assigned to the affected centres and affected by the disruption are eligible to appear for the special examination. Candidates who successfully passed the NEET PG examination at the other centres are not required to take the test again.
The disruption occurred at iON Digital Zone Sitapura, Jaipur, with test centre codes 41682 and 41683. The technical issue affected the examination and NBEMS announced a separate re-examination for the candidates involved. This special test is to allow the affected candidates to complete the examination under proper examination conditions.
NEET PG 2026 Re-Exam: Check Exam Time
According to the schedule issued by NBEMS, the NEET PG 2026 re-examination will be held on 5 September from 3 PM to 6:30 PM. Candidates should check their revised admit cards for reporting time and any other instructions applicable to their examination centre.
Students should avoid arriving at the venue at the last minute. Entry procedures, identity verification and other pre-examination formalities can take time to complete, so candidates should arrive at the centre well before the reporting deadline mentioned on their admit card.
Revised NEET PG Admit Card released
NBEMS released revised admit cards on September 3 for the candidates eligible for the re-examination. Candidates appearing for the special test should download their revised admit card and check every detail carefully before leaving for the examination.
The revised admit card is particularly important because it contains the examination centre and instructions applicable to the September 5 test. Candidates should not rely solely on details printed on their original August 30 admit card, especially if there is any difference in venue information.
Students should also ensure that the photograph, personal details, examination information and other particulars on the revised document are correct. The admit card should be carried to the examination venue along with the other documents and items permitted under the examination rules.
Who is eligible for the re-examination?
The September 5 re-examination is not applicable to all NEET PG 2026 candidates. Only the 2,445 candidates affected by the technical disruption at the two iON Digital Zone Sitapura centres in Jaipur are eligible.
Candidates whose test centre codes were 41682 or 41683 and who were affected by the August 30 disruption should appear for the re-examination according to the instructions on their revised admit cards.
Candidates who appeared for and passed the NEET PG examination on August 30 at other examination centres do not need to take the test again. Their original examination remains valid.
Candidates Should Verify Details Before Leaving
With the examination one day away, candidates should do all the necessary preparations in advance. They need to download and print their revised admit cards, verify their assigned centre, check the reporting instructions and plan their travel route to the examination venue.
For a candidate travelling to Jaipur for the re-examination, one must also consider that there will be traffic or other delays. Early arrival at a venue should be done to avoid a lot of anxiety and to give sufficient time for security checks and entry paperwork.
Students need to only have official updates from NBEMS and other authorised sources. Unverified information circulating through social media platforms can lead to confusion, especially on examination dates, centres and eligibility.
PIB denies paper leak claims
The NEET PG examination has also received misinformation around purported paper leaks. Reports about a supposed paper leak in Jaipur were dismissed as false by the Press Information Bureau (PIB). Candidates should therefore avoid forwarding or relying on unverified claims related to the examination.
NBEMS also issued warnings about sharing or discussing memory-based questions from the August 30 examination. Candidates are expected to comply with the NDA associated with the examination and should refrain from sharing examination-related content in accordance with the applicable rules.
Supreme Court Proceedings Do Not Alter September 5 Schedule
Neet PG re-examination has also been the subject of legal proceedings, including a petition before the Supreme Court. But the proceedings have not altered the examination schedule announced by NBEMS.
As things stand, the re-examination is scheduled for September 5, 2026 at 3 PM to 6:30 PM. Eligible candidates should therefore prepare according to the current schedule and follow the directions provided on their revised admit cards.
For the 2,445 affected candidates, the September 5 examination is an important opportunity to complete the NEET PG 2026 process after the disruption at the Jaipur centres.
