Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri denied any such rumors, telling us these rumours are baseless and to not panic. No lockdown talks are alive and well and that the government has no idea when it will take place.

Such revelations came as the situation was raised to be at risk for LPG availability for many regions of the country, which was made more imminent now in view of global tensions like the West Asia conflict. There is, however, no widespread LPG shortage, the government claims with confidence and without any short notice, that India’s energy supply system remains strong and well managed.

According to official reports, India now has sufficient fuel supplies such as LPG, petrol and diesel, as well as solid diesel. But sources have already said that at present it is full for several weeks of stock supply and supply chains work normally.

The minister ensures that domestic LPG supply is “fully protected” and deliveries are not interrupted in shops, minister Puri has claimed over and over again. Besides this there are measures taken by the Government to increase domestic production and diversify import sources, so that we don't only depend on one region.

Some cities’ shortages, particularly commercial LPG cylinders, have been reported from the provincial government but this is because, officials believe, of logistics and panic buying so long as we haven't experienced a real demand crisis.

The Centre has warned against misinformation campaigns that could frighten the people. India remains the new “oasis” of energy security in a world of uncertainty and uncertainty because of strategic planning as well as diversified supplies, officials said at the time.

The government’s message is clear: It shouldn’t be panic, hoarding or speculation at all. So citizens are encouraged to believe in official alerts rather than conjecture.
