India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 76 on September 17, 2026 and received birthday messages from politicians, sportspersons and personalities from the entertainment sector.

C Joseph Vijay, who became Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, was among the political figures from the state who sent birthday messages to the Prime Minister. Modi's birthday was celebrated across Tamil Nadu and in different parts of the country. The Tamil Nadu Governor, Chief Minister and other political leaders also extended their greetings.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar posted a birthday message on service. He told us that we can think of the day as a day to be service loving and happy for others. So his message was in a social way and linked the birthday with service.
Kangana Ranaut also sent birthday wishes to Prime Minister Modi. She also included Sanskrit verses and wished for his long life, health and strength. Ranaut's message was one of the celebrity messages that were trending on social media on the Prime Minister's birthday, and there were celebrities and public figures in the company too.
Another prominent actor to send a message was Anupam Kher. Kher recalled his first meeting with Modi in Ahmedabad and extended his birthday wishes. Jackie Shroff and Shilpa Shetty also sent their greetings on social media.

The birthday ceremonies included health camps and cleanliness activities in different places.
As stated by the Prime Minister himself, he appreciated the birthday wishes and public efforts made on the occasion. In a social media post about the 'Ashirwad Ka Diya' initiative Modi said that the affection and blessings had touched him and that those blessings were strengthening his resolve to serve the country.
