The Scathing Instagram Post

It was only after Prateek Yadav, stepbrother of former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, spoke out and delivered a strongly worded statement regarding their marital troubles that this became known. In the post, which quickly went viral, Prateek didn’t hold back his frustration, calling Aparna a “selfish woman” and “bad soul.” “I am going to divorce this selfish woman as soon as possible.

She ruined my family ties

All she wants to do is become famous and influential,” Prateek wrote. He also stated that Aparna is indifferent to his condition and claims that he himself is struggling with severe mental health issues. “Right now I am in a very bad mental health condition, and she doesn’t bother. That’s because it’s only herself she bothers about,” he said.

Allegations of ‘Ruined Family Ties’

At the heart of Prateek’s complaint lies the perceived damage to his relationship with the larger Yadav family. He accused Aparna of being driven solely by a desire for power and public recognition and said he felt “unfortunate” to have married her. Prateek and Aparna, who were schoolmates, tied the knot in 2011 during a high-profile ceremony, attended by major personalities like Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Ambani. The couple also have a daughter together.

Though Prateek has steered clear of active politics, specializing in real estate and fitness entrepreneurship, Aparna has emerged as a major political force. Political Backdrop. The rift between the couple has been the stuff of extensive speculation since Aparna Yadav switched over to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2022, and is also now in direct contrast to her brother-in-law Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party.

Currently, Aparna remains as Vice Chairperson of Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Women. As of now, Aparna has made no public statement or responses to the charges. Her family members and other sources close to her have declined to comment, describing it as a “personal family matter.”
