The accused had explained he could perform special rituals to deal with either personal or family issues before trusting them. So he also used religious power to isolate the women and then sexually exploited them.

Two days later, victims came to police, and launched the formal complaint. But in this case, the authorities and an investigation have already started. So victims are being recorded; other evidence is also collected such as the background of the suspect.

According to police evidence the accused might have used fear, superstition, or emotional vulnerability to manipulate victims. That’s not strange: that is, people are allowed religious power and force, or people force themselves to do someone else’s.

Law enforcement, as far as possible, said they would go on to take legal action to prove such situations and what would happen is justifiable when these kinds of things occur. But for the most part people should keep their safety in mind and shouldn't be taken for granted with people who claim supernatural powers and also should be trusted to perform some weird or even private rituals.

The current situation also underscores, and more fundamentally, the extent to which deceptive and self-styled religious figures can use people's faith for themselves.

For victims under religious guise women’s safety activists have also pointed out better safeguards, and rapid recourse, should be improved. Victims need to feel safer reporting to police and not just feel embarrassed and threatened to go to jail for what they say.

As a result it's clear that authorities need information on the investigation. In the meantime the investigation is ongoing and more details are expected to come out as a result.

For its part, the case shows that crimes in the name of religion should be detected very rapidly and perpetrators punished so as justice to people would not jeopardize the balance and social equity can be satisfied.
