But then a shocking incident happened in rural India (better known as Bharat) a guard had courageously blocked a robbery at a branch of a local gold loan company. It pays tribute to this vigilance, courage and agility are all crucial in guarding financial centers with potentially exorbitant assets. But, when some gang of uninvited people from a shady group broke in in an unprovoked manner on site the gold loan firm itself was not in doubt.
But depending on which branch you find pledged gold items from customers, this is usually a high-status and very secure place because of the huge amount of assets preserved on the premises. The entrance security guard noted a remarkable activity that occurred and began, at once, listening. Neither was he undaunted; he adhered to procedure as much as possible, stood at the entrance and avoided the crowd rushing across. But his good timing appears to have delayed the plans of the suspects for anything harmful. It took a few more minutes, a few more minutes and even after the guard just pulled together on that very second straight and the problem was solved.
His gallant behavior caused a swift response and the suspects fled the scene unharmed, avoiding injuries either to staff or patrons. The guard was hailed as heroic and dedicated after the crime at the gold loan corporation. Many also said he should have been there and had been trained to prevent that from developing into a serious crime.
India’s security guards, those who serve banks and other providers in semi-urban regions, often fall to serve as the first line of defense in small towns and cities in similar settings. But local residents said they also welcomed the guard’s act of bravery, referring to him as a “real life hero” for the place he helped protect and protecting from further financial losses. Social media users are on the road to show their support, and they say those people don’t have much money or training to offer and that they struggle with the tough stuff to protect the companies that really matter.
Law enforcement also will capture CCTV footage of both branch and neighboring, later to analyze to identify suspects and determine intentions. The suspects did conduct reconnaissance of the site, based on initial investigation and reports, but there was no official confirmation. Once again it's a wake up call that, as we said, there should be a proper security arrangement with respect to semi-urban and rural financial institutions in the country.
"It would drastically reduce that clearly if there is a bad act under the auspices of people who know their stuff and modern surveillance systems in a combination. The security guard’s bravado, however, is the incident’s highlight, though the investigation is still a work in progress. This man not only picked up the last mile that could have slipped past the gaps, he showed up and saved not only things but employees and customers as well; he shows that at the end of the day, the safety of the public day to day should matter, a lesson that we want to spread to our frontline security team too.”
