A 25-year-old man was found dead that night in an apparent suicide in his rented house in Telangana’s Rajanna Sircilla district where a handwritten note has been recovered, and police are investigating.
The deceased is Pitla Vamshi, a resident of Racharla Gollapalli village in Yellareddypet mandal. Initial police investigation revealed that Vamshi died by hanging himself at night.
His dead body was found in his rented house and local authorities are investigating.
Police also found a handwritten note that was written on a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) enumeration form. Police officials said that the note mentions Prime Minister Narendra Modi and blamed him for the writer’s death.
It also said that no one else should be held responsible and also asked that his final rites be done according to traditional customs.
Police have seized the note and are examining its contents. But the note is being treated as a part of the investigation, and no conclusions have been drawn on whether it could be associated or related to the circumstances of Vamshi’s death, investigators said.
The body was sent to the Government Hospital in Sircilla for post-mortem examination. Police have filed a case and are looking into all the angles that could have led to the incident.
According to early information, Vamshi was a student who finished his education up to the Intermediate level and had worked as a painter. His father works as a daily wage labourer and the family was said to be in financial distress.
His personal situation and any factors that can be involved in his mental state are also being investigated by investigators.
Police also noted Vamshi is known to drink alcohol, they added. But officials said they believe the investigation is still very much in its early stage and all aspects, including his personal, financial, and social background, are being investigated before reaching any conclusion.
Authorities have stressed that there was no link between the contents of the handwritten note and the incident. Investigators are going to verify that the note is genuine and are talking to family members, neighbours, and anyone else who could have information relevant to the incident.
The incident has attracted attention because of the alleged references made in the note, but officials have told the public not to speculate until the investigation is complete. Both evidence and forensic examination of recovered material are anticipated post-mortem and after which further details are known, said the post-mortem report.
Police have appealed to the public and media to look at evidence from those who come forward, for the time being, and the investigation is on.
The case is still under investigation, and it is expected that the authorities will provide information once more evidence is reviewed.
