Tesla has officially marked a significant milestone in its Indian expansion by commissioning its first public Supercharger station in Gurugram today, December 17, 2025. Located at the prominent DLF One Horizon Center on Golf Course Road, this launch follows the recent inauguration of the city’s first integrated Tesla Center and reinforces the brand's commitment to building a high-speed charging network in India.
High-Speed V4 Charging Infrastructure
The new charging hub, situated in the Surface Parking Area of Horizon Center, is equipped with four V4 Superchargers. These units are capable of delivering peak charging speeds of 250 kW, allowing a Tesla Model Y to add up to 275 km of range in just 15 minutes—a distance sufficient for a one-way trip from Gurugram to Jaipur’s Hawa Mahal.
In addition to the high-speed chargers, the site includes three Destination Chargers (11 kW), providing flexible options for owners who wish to charge their vehicles while dining or attending meetings at the business hub.
Seamless "Plug In, Charge and Go" Experience
Tesla is bringing its world-renowned "99.95% uptime" reliability to the Indian market. Owners can manage the entire charging process through the Tesla App, which allows them to:
- Locate the station and check for stall availability in real-time.
- Pre-condition (warm up) the car battery for faster charging while en route.
- Monitor charging progress and receive notifications upon completion.
- Handle payments seamlessly through the integrated wallet.
Expanding the National Footprint
With the Gurugram station now operational, Tesla’s Indian charging network has grown to three primary locations, totaling 12 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers nationwide:
- Gurugram: One Horizon Center (4 Superchargers, 3 Destination Chargers).
- Delhi: Worldmark 3, Aerocity (4 Superchargers, 3 Destination Chargers)
- Mumbai: One BKC (4 Superchargers, 4 Destination Chargers)
To celebrate the launch, Tesla will host interactive workshops at the One Horizon site from December 17 to 21, inviting residents to experience the technology and learn more about the sustainable energy ecosystem.
Pricing and Availability
The Tesla Model Y, the brand's sole offering in India currently, starts at ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Following the opening of the all-in-one Tesla Center at Orchid Business Park, Sector 48, deliveries for new orders are expected to commence by the end of this month.
