The girl, named Kshama, was a student at the Composite School in Sahuwapur under the Bharkhani development block. She died Sunday evening after being treated, the police said.

Police had previously registered a case following a complaint by Kshama’s father. The case names the school headmaster, the class teacher and a teenage classmate.

The girl was allegedly beaten up at school after a dispute at school.

According to the complaint, Kshama had gone to school on August 20 to appear for an examination. She got into an argument with a classmate later in the day, she said.

Police said Kshama then approached a teacher to complain about the dispute. The teacher hit her and hurt her instead, causing injuries, police said.

The circumstances of the alleged assault and its subsequent deterioration of Kshama’s health are now part of the police investigation. The police have registered a case under sections relating to culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the headmaster, class teacher and the teenage girl.

The accusations against the accused are still not established in court.

Police Register Case after Father’s Complaint

Kshama's father approached the police after the incident and filed a complaint. Based on his complaint, authorities registered a case against the three individuals.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Hardoi) Subodh Gautam confirmed that an FIR had been registered. The case includes the headmaster Akshay Singh Yadav, the class teacher Rajendra Gangwar and the teenage classmate.

The police are now investigating the circumstances of the alleged assault and the events that followed.

The case will also see if the beating contributed to the girl's death after she remained under treatment for 10 days.

Another video seems to show a teacher beating a student.

The Basic Education Department has also taken action in connection with the allegations.

Basic Education Officer Prabhat Mishra said the department received a video that purported to show a teacher beating Kshama. The officer said the department reviewed the video and found that the teacher had beaten the student on August 20.

So the headmaster and class teacher were suspended. Departmental action has also been initiated against them, said Mishra, the headmaster.

The video has now become a central part of the allegations being investigated by the authorities. But the full truth of the incident and the girl’s death will need to be established by the investigation.

Investigation into student's death Underway.

Kshama died in the private hospital in Farrukhabad on Sunday evening while receiving treatment.

Police are now trying to determine what happened between the alleged assault on August 20 and her death 10 days later. The injuries, treatment she received and the reasons that led to her death are to be established, investigators say.

The exact cause of death was not given in the report. So it cannot be said that the alleged beating was definitely responsible for her death.

The police case and the departmental action are being conducted separately; the criminal investigation focused on establishing responsibility under the law.

Headmaster And Teacher Suspended

The suspension of the headmaster and class teacher is the first departmental action reported in the case.

The education department has also started further proceedings based on its findings. The purported video of the alleged beating is among the material considered by officials.

And the police will determine if the allegations made in the complaint are supported by evidence and whether further action is required against those named in the FIR.

Kshama’s death has brought fresh attention to the treatment of children in schools, but the particular circumstances of this case remain under investigation.

For now, police have established a case for the family to seek justice, and the education department has suspended the two school officials charged with the alleged assault. The results of the investigation will determine what happened to Kshama after the August 20 incident and whether anyone is legally responsible for her death.
