Uttar Pradesh: 8 Killed in Truck-Trailer Crash In Kaushambi; Ex Gratia Announced for Victims

At least eight people were killed in a tragic road accident that broke down in Kaushambi in the world of business zones during a truck hit by an army transport truck, eight people lost their lives, and two more were injured in a truck tragedy.

The accident, which happened at highway time in the district, struck as the speeding truck crashed along the road into a trailer which is under review. The force of the collision so strong, there were so many people in the truck that some got stuck in the tail of the vehicle and died at the same time, the department stated.

Local and nearby residents and locals rushed to the site immediately after the crash and alerted authorities, and started the rescue operation from their windows and doors as bodies were pulled out from the mangled cars. All the injured people are said to be in critical condition.

Some initial results indicate that overspeeding and some negligence may have contributed to the accident. Poor visibility or driver fatigue were also factors at play in the mishap said investigators.

Following that incident, the Uttar Pradesh government issued ex gratia compensation for the families of the deceased. All the victims’ families will be well repaid from our help now,” officials noted and added. Compensation for the injured has also been declared.

Officials expressed their sorrow and assured me that the full investigation would be undertaken into the exact reason for the accident. Our attention will be on those culprits and will also have to be directed to others who should be held responsible, they said.

The number of road accidents in India continue to be a serious problem as result of aggressive driving and bad road conditions and a lack of regulation should drive people to understand when it comes to safety. With the current accident it is clear that, regardless what the reasons, there is an urgent place in our road safety because now even more so on the road traffic laws in India and all the police cannot be safe in safety enforcement and when our population are not safety conscious to be safe from any harm caused by vehicles in traffic the incidents which happen in road accident.

Hodges added those who should take care to follow traffic controls (driving too fast and driving too slow) and be responsible vehicle maintenance is at the forefront as to avoid such incidents in future too.
