A frightening incident occurred in Vijayapura when the young man died by suicide after crashing his motorcycle into a bus, causing a fatal fire. Abhishek (Sayabagauda is a name associated with Nagaral), another boy living in the village of Nagaral.
Some early reports suggested that a tragic motorcycle-bus accident could result from an accident, but as more evidence was gathered, it seemed the least shocking fact to everyone was to see that a video posted on Instagram earlier the day of the accident indicated that he was planning to end his life.
Abhishek warned that he would take the extreme step later in the day. He also blamed someone else for his emotional pain and the fact that he did not want to leave out the woman he cared for. The video made mentions of Veeresh Nandoor, Shri Chaithra Nandoor, and some other family members living in Kudalasangama.
Police believe that the man could have intentionally rammed his bike into the bus as part of a planned act of suicide. It set it on fire, and he died almost instantly at the scene.
This only compounded the mental health issues and increased the ability of social media to express distress and suicidal intent. Now authorities are investigating the situation and checking whether the Instagram post is authentic and how matters unfolded.
Investigators are also questioning the people depicted in the video in relation to the case.
Police are urging the public to take such online posts seriously and report anything they see that poses a strong threat of harm to themselves or others.
