According to the viral video, the retired officer questions a young man who is allegedly participating in a protest related to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Instead of talking about the protest itself, the officer asks a basic question from the Class 12 Physics syllabus about the optics chapter.

Exchange Goes Viral

The retired colonel asks the protester to name the second branch of optics after ray optics. The young man responds that he is not here for this, which is true and the officer, who then states that the protester has never actually appeared for the NEET exam and is only in for political reasons.

This has been the focus of many online debates  supporters praise the officer's questioning and critics say the clip lacks context and should not be considered as proof of anything.

Historical Claims Spark Discussion

The retired officer is heard criticizing decisions made after the 1971 India-Pakistan war and says that India released about 93,000 Pakistani prisoners of war while captured Indian personnel were not brought back. He also says that previous governments weakened India's armed forces and that he does not want them to come back to power again.

But historians note that several aspects of these claims are disputed. Although about 93,000 Pakistani prisoners of war were indeed repatriated after the Simla Agreement, the exact number of missing Indian military personnel and the circumstances surrounding them have not been definitively established.

Social Media Reactions

Supporters call the retired officer’s testimony patriotic and factual while others say the video is politically motivated and oversimplifies the events that lead up to it.

Experts advise viewers to verify viral content through credible sources before believing political or historical claims as fact before endorsing them in a public forum. Short video clips tend to leave out important context and independent verification is crucial.
