Celebrity astrologer Radhan Pandit has surprisingly come to be one of the most discussed faces in Tamil Nadu political circles after he showed signs that his prophecy about actor-turned-politician Vijay and his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) were right amid the 2026 Assembly Election trends.
Radhan Pandit, who is believed to be close to Vijay and his political camp, had asserted well over seven weeks ago that TVK will become a leading political force in Tamil Nadu, including with Vijay making his debut as Chief Minister of the state.
However, many of his hard-line claims at first took him at face value, especially in the politics of Tamil Nadu, where traditional Dravidian parties such as the DMK and AIADMK have dominated. This initial election trajectory, indicating great growth of TVK, has finally put Pandit in the national spotlight.
Radhan Pandit, he said during the campaign period, was certain that TVK could win more than 150 Assembly seats and cause a “political tsunami” in Tamil Nadu. Vijay’s horoscope stated an exceptional political ascent and leadership role in the state. Pandit’s relationship with Vijay became even more tangible on the counting day when he visited the actor-politician’s house in Neelankarai with a flower bouquet.

The visit instantly drew media attention, and shares have been widely made on television channels and social media platforms. Supporters of TVK said that the visit was a symbolic endorsement of his earlier predictions being realised. Aside from astrology, Radhan Pandit has been involved as a spokesperson for TVK in the election campaign.
At times in media interviews, he would bluntly categorically reject exit poll predictions that favoured rival alliances; his party would win the elections effectively, he maintained. He also said that internal surveys of TVK showed strong public support and that he predicted Vijay would take oath as Chief Minister after the results.
Vijay was reportedly performing a series of spiritual and religious rituals on the basis of the Pandit’s recommendation at the time of elections. Based on news, Vijay also took part in special prayers, including the “Viswaroopa Darshan”, and temple visits to Thiruchendur Murugan Temple after polling concluded, based on news coverage.
These actions reportedly bolstered the popular view that Pandit knew how to sway Vijay’s inner circle. As TVK’s performance keeps grabbing headlines, social media comments on Radhan Pandit's predictions have been ubiquitous. His supporters have lauded him for being the astrologer who predicted a revolution in politics in Tamil Nadu, but critics are saying the results are still due, and they’d be remiss to draw any premature conclusions.
By the time Vijay and TVK took the headlines, Tamil Nadu was already seeing dramatic shifts in the political rhetoric and Radhan Pandit’s projections figured prominently in that story. Whether interpreted as spiritual advice, political confidence or coincidence, his forecasts have certainly captured great public interest in one of the state’s most consequential elections of recent times.
