Arjun Prasad Clinches IGPL Championship With Stunning 63, Veer Ganapathy Runner-Up

Arjun Prasad clinched his first IGP title at Qutab Golf Course in New Delhi with a performance of seven-under-par 63 in the final round. He finished the tournament in 16-under 194 and four shots ahead of Veer Ganapathy who was runner-up at 12-under 198. Shiv Kapur took third place with a good last round performance.

Prasad, who only played his second IGPL match, put in a great performance and precision to win the title. He began the tournament with rounds of 66 and 65 but improved his game in the final round (63). His 194 score was strong over 3 days and a career-best for him.

Prasad’s final round performance was the key. He made seven birdies and didn’t drop a single shot to par and showed he was confident on the course and in his game throughout the tournament.

He made the turn in 31 and completed the back nine in 32. Back-to-back birdies at the end of his round helped him to establish a lead and keep it from falling behind the chasing players.

The win marks a landmark for Prasad in his IGPL career. He had just made his league debut at the Ras Al Khaimah event a couple of weeks earlier and had been among the leaders. The performance at Qutab Golf Course just showed him how to be a champion and why.

Veer Ganapathy Finishes Runner-Up

Veer Ganapathy also did an excellent job in the final round and recorded seven-under 63. But his previous rounds of 68 and 67 meant he finished at 12-under 198 and four shots behind the champion. Despite matching Prasad's final-round score, Ganapathy could not close the gap created by the winner's consistently good performance in all three rounds.

Ganapathy’s second place finish added to a series of near-misses after he was runner-up in a number of events this season. Nevertheless, his performance at Qutab showed his ability to score, particularly in the final round, when he matched the tournament winner’s 63.

Shiv Kapur of Delhi Blue Bulls was third at 11-under 199 after carding five-under 65 in the final round. Four-time IGPL winner Gaganjeet Bhullar won fourth place with five-under 200. Olympian Udayan Mane, Karandeep Kochhar and Harshjeet Sethie took fifth place, adding some depth to the field.

Kashika Misra Finishes as Top Woman Golfer

Kashika Misra had emerged as one of the tournament's most notable performers with rounds of 66 and 64 to take the lead into the final round. Unfortunately, she had a difficult morning and turned in six-over 76, dropping down the leaderboard to finish tied 20th.

Despite the difficult final round, Misra finished as the top woman golfer in the tournament. Her early momentum in the first round had made her very much in the mix and showed that she will be able to be a strong performer against a very strong field of players at Qutab Golf Course.

Unico Gurugram Tuskers Claim Team Title

Prasad's individual accomplishment also contributed to a successful outing for the Unico Gurugram Tuskers who won the team championship with an overall score of 23-under. The team was four shots ahead of its nearest competitors and Prasad was supported by Shat Mishra, Tushar Pannu and Shaurya Binu.

The Vimtra Chennai Lions finished second at 19-under, with Bhullar as the top performer and Harshjeet Sethie also shining among them. Bengaluru Stallions, Flying Man Kolkata, Auro Goa Eagles, Delhi Blue Bulls and Punjab Raptors were third at 18-under, which reflects the close team competition.

Arjun Prasad Makes His Mark in IGPL

Prasad's breakthrough victory adds his name to the winners list in the 2026 IGPL season. Aryan Roopa Anand, Udayan Mane, Sachin Baisoya and Gaganjeet Bhullar had already won titles earlier in the season.

At Qutab Golf Course, however, Prasad was at the helm with a performance that combined consistency across three rounds with a great finish to his career. The seven-under 63 in the final round was the key to win the championship and his bogey-free scorecard showed his concentration under pressure.

After two games in the league, Prasad has already proven that he is capable of challenging experienced professionals and turning good performances into a title. His victory in New Delhi is an important achievement in his career and a great stepping stone for his future opportunities in the Indian Golf Premier League.
