Mumbai: Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane flagged off the 'Modi Express' special train from Mumbai, offering a new option for devotees heading to the Konkan region for the annual Ganeshotsav celebrations.
The special train has been constructed to take devotees from Mumbai and neighbouring areas to their native places in Konkan for Ganeshotsav. The festival is very important to Maharashtra. Tens of thousands of families come to their home communities to celebrate Lord Ganesha's arrival with family and local people.
The flag-off was the start of a special journey for devotees going to participate in the festivities.
