Hyundai Bayon India Launch on October 26: Panoramic Glass Roof, Dual Screens Revealed Ahead of Debut

Hyundai is due to launch the Bayon in India on October 26, 2026 and a new image of the interior of the upcoming SUV is now out. A panoramic glass roof is shown in the new image, rear-seat position and dual-tone upholstery and other details that can be used to show off the interior before the launch date. The new model will add to Hyundai's existing SUV portfolio in India and will be positioned between the Venue and the Creta.

The new photo shows a modern styled, practical cabin. The large glass roof extends over the seating area, creating a panoramic-like appearance, and the rear bench has three headrests and seat belts for all three occupants. The interior is also black and light grey in colour, so it’s a contrast.

Hyundai has already opened bookings for the Bayon at an initial amount of Rs 11,000 through its official website and authorised dealerships. But the company has not yet announced the SUV's prices, final variants lineup and complete variant-wise equipment list. Such details are expected to be key to buyers when comparing the new model to other SUVs in the Indian market.

Hyundai Bayon to Get Panoramic-Style Glass Roof

The big glass top of the cabin is one of the most obvious features of the new cabin image. Its panoramic-style sunroof would likely be an important feature in this space for consumers looking for a premium cabin experience.

But Hyundai can still not say if the glass panel would be available in all variants or reserved for a few trims. And it is also unclear if the roof will be an opening sunroof or a fixed glass panel. Buyers will have to wait until the official feature announcement to get a sense of what this will be.

The image also provides a closer look at the rear seating arrangement. The bench has three headrests, and seat belts for all three passengers. It is clear that the rear section has been structured to accommodate three passengers, although the image alone does not tell us how comfortable the middle passenger will be on longer trips.

Other cabin features visible are round speaker grilles on the door panels, arm rests and inner door handles. The dual-tone upholstery also adds to the contemporaryness of the cabin. Hyundai did not make detailed information about rear-seat dimensions or luggage capacity, so the overall practicality of the Bayon will be better understood once we have a closer look at the production-specification model.

Dual 12.3-Inch Screens and Connected Technology

The Hyundai Bayon will also feature a technology-oriented dashboard with two 12.3-inch displays. One screen will be the digital instrument cluster and the other screen will be the infotainment system. The two displays are connected with each other on a curved panel to create a connected visual layout around the dashboard.

Physical shortcut buttons and controls below the screens for accessing the key functions and so on are intended to help access key functions without being completely reliant on touchscreen input. A combination of digital displays and the physical controls would help balance more modern cabin design and everyday use of the space could be the best integration of digital displays and physical controls.

Hyundai has confirmed several technology features for the new SUV like a generative AI-powered voice assistant and its Connected Car Navigation Cockpit. The model will also have more than 70 Bluelink connected features which is expected to broaden the range of remote and connected features that owners can have.

Another key feature is that up to 19 vehicle controllers are supported for over-the-air updates. Such updates can be updated with compatible vehicle software and not require a workshop visit for every update. The final availability of individual functions for each of Bayon's variants still has not yet been announced.

Hyundai Bayon Engine and Transmission Options

For the Indian market, the Hyundai Bayon will be powered by a 1.5 litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated MPi petrol engine. It has 113.4hp and 144Nm of torque and buyers are given the choice of six-speed manual transmission or IVT (intelligent variable transmission) automatic drive.

The manual transmission will appeal to buyers who like to have control over gear changes and IVT automatic could be a convenient option for those who want to use it in urban traffic. The naturally aspirated petrol configuration will also be a key point of comparison for customers of which performance, drivability and practicality will be more relevant for everyday running.

Hyundai has yet to reveal the complete variant-wise equipment distribution, so it is unclear which trims will get features like the panoramic-style glass roof, dual-screen setup and other advanced technology functions.

Hyundai Bayon Bookings, Launch Date and Expected Pricing

The Hyundai Bayon is now available for booking at Rs 11,000. Customers can make the bookings on Hyundai’s website or authorised dealerships prior to the launch of the SUV in India on October 26, 2026.

Delivery will start during the festive season but the delivery schedule will be subject to the variant of each model and vehicle availability. Hyundai has not yet announced the starting price or the prices of individual trims.

The final pricing will be particularly important because the Bayon is positioned between the Venue and Creta in Hyundai's SUV portfolio. Its equipment package, engine options and overall value proposition will determine how it competes with other models considered by buyers in this category.

The company is also yet to release the complete specifications and variant-wise feature list. Customers who are interested in the Bayon should therefore consider the booking decision and wait for the price announcement and final equipment details.

Hyundai Bayon India Launch: What Buyers Should Expect

When Hyundai Bayon is due to go on sale October 26, the Hyundai Bayon is soon to be available as a new product for customers looking for a compact SUV with a modern interior and connected technology.

The new image gives more detail of its panoramic glass roof, rear-seat arrangement and dual-tone interior also clear as well as a complete connected-car setup and dual 12.3-inch display and dual 11.3-inch display, as well as a digital dashboard display and integrated connected-car functionality.

Its 1.5-litre petrol engine, manual and IVT transmission options and AI-based voice assistant will also be key to its appeal. However, pricing, variants available, practical cabin space and features are the key considerations for the final assessment in each trim.

So far, the Bayon’s booking window is open, but price announcement and full equipment list remain the main missing details. Hyundai’s official launch event on October 26 will give us a better picture of how the SUV will be positioned in India’s competitive passenger-vehicle market.
