These features only further solidify the S-Class as a model of luxury and safety in the automotive industry.

At the launch, Managing Director Santosh Iyer said the model is very popular among Indian luxury buyers. He described the S-Class as a “favorite” of the space, which has been redesigned with the latest technology to modernize the product and to cater to a mass customer base. The price is on the high end of ₹2 crore to ₹2.5 crore for the ultra-luxury category.

The launch also coincides with Mercedes-Benz’s 140 years of innovation, which is very much in line with the brand’s legacy and at the same time with India’s transition towards electrification. The S 450e is also a green move to complement India’s green transition while maintaining absolute luxury.
