Realme has teased a new special edition smartphone for Harry Potter fans. The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition is expected to have a Hogwarts design and several magical software customizations. It’s being developed as part of a special collaboration between the Harry Potter franchise and Warner Bros. Discovery so fans will get a collector version of the Realme 16 Pro 5G.
The standard Realme 16 Pro 5G will focus on display, performance and camera but the Harry Potter Edition is expected to differentiate itself with its look. Realme has teased customised design elements inspired by the wizarding world so the upcoming smartphone will be particularly attractive to fans and collectors.
Hogwarts-Inspired Design Takes Centre Stage
The biggest difference between the standard Realme 16 Pro 5G and Harry Potter Edition will be in design. The special edition will reportedly have Hogwarts-themed elements on it while the company is expected to introduce custom software features inspired by the popular franchise as well.
The handset is being marketed as a collector’s item rather than an entirely new smartphone with different hardware — so the focus will be on exclusive looks, themed interface elements and special design touches.
Realme hasn’t announced the official price of Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition yet, but it has created a microsite on Flipkart for it which suggests that the smartphone will be made available through e-commerce channel as well as via Realme’s official channels.
Realme's Second Major Entertainment Collaboration
This Harry Potter Edition is another Realme-Warner Bros. Discovery collaboration. Realme had previously teamed up with the entertainment company for the Realme 15 Pro 5G Game of Thrones Limited Edition which was launched in India in October 2025.
That special edition had a few Game of Thrones specific touches. It had a 3D Dragon Claw camera module, House Targaryen logo and Ice/Dragonfire themed interface designs.
With the Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition, the company seems to be doing the same thing — taking an existing smartphone and giving it visual and software features based on a globally popular entertainment franchise.
Expected Display and Performance
Realme has not yet announced the full specifications of the Harry Potter Edition. But it is expected to have most of the hardware on the standard Realme 16 Pro 5G.
If that happens the smartphone would have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate — smooth scrolling and animations but also immersive multimedia content and gaming.
The Harry Potter Edition might also use the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max processor with an Arm Mali-G615 GPU. The standard model has 8GB and 12GB RAM options; storage goes up to 256GB.
The smartphone may also run Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. The Harry Potter Edition may feature exclusive wallpapers, icons, animations and other software elements to make Hogwarts even more immersive.
Camera Specifications May Remain Unchanged
Realme may also use the same camera setup as the standard model for Harry Potter Edition. The device is said to have a 200MP primary rear camera (f/1.8 aperture) and an 8MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2).
For selfies and video calls it could have a 50MP front camera. If those specs stick around buyers will get the same core camera hardware as the standard Realme 16 Pro but an entirely different design experience.
The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition looks like an interesting proposition for smartphone buyers who also love the wizarding world. Hogwarts design, software customisation and possibly unchanged specs from the standard model could make it a performance/collectability hybrid.
