KTM has made the most of the huge popularity from such adventure motorcycle brands with the launch of the new Black colour scheme in 2026 KTM 390 Adventure in India.
The new version has now arrived at stores across India ahead of customer deliveries and all the new customers can get an early look at the bike in action.
The new Black paint option is an even more premium and stealthier option than the current choices. The sleek black fuel tank with orange accents with KTM's trademark graphics and aggressive design is retained and the motorcycle looks like a bit older and more mature.
Mechanically the 2026 KTM 390 Adventure is the same. It is still powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine and that gives it great performance when it comes to off-road bike riding. The six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and quickshifter help to keep gears easy and is comfortable to ride.
The motorcycle is built on a lightweight steel trellis frame with WP Apex suspension at both ends. The long-travel suspension and high ground clearance make it suitable for rough terrain but comfortable in city traffic.
Technology of KTM 390 Adventure still has a huge package and has all the latest technology. The KTM 390 Adventure is now full-colour TFT with smartphone connectivity, ride-by-wire throttle, along with a large number of riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS, cruise control and switchable ABS for off-road use. It is one of the most advanced motorcycles in the category.
The new Black colour will draw in a lot of buyers for a more subtle and athletic take on KTM's classic orange-colored motorcycles. The cosmetic update is not mechanical but it does not change the look of the motorcycle and is very good at it.
Dealerships have already begun displaying the motorcycle, so official customer deliveries could start in the coming days. Potential buyers who have booked the motorcycle may soon receive delivery schedules from their respective dealerships.
The KTM 390 Adventure is in competition with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, BMW G 310 GS, Yezdi Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX. The bike is good for all but the most experienced and long-distance travellers with its powerful engine, modern electronics and powerful chassis (i.e., the bike is perfect for adventure touring).
The introduction of the Black colour option will boost KTM’s standing in the expanding adventure motorcycle market even more, industry experts say.
Dark colour schemes are popular because they have a premium look and are easy to maintain so this could be quite useful as well as stylish and will help KTM to strengthen the brand.
With dealerships already ready to open in KTM's new 2026 KTM 390 Adventure Black it is going to be available soon and adventure fans will have a new option in KTM’s portfolio.
