HP has expanded its ARM-based laptop line with the new HP OmniBook 3, a notebook that brings fast performance, AI features and a top-of-the-line display experience in a budget-friendly package. With Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Plus processor at the heart of the new laptop, the new laptop will be ideal for students, professionals and everyday users who want the best of today's AI PCs but don’t want flagship-level pricing. With a starting price of around 3,999 Yuan (around $550), the OmniBook 3 will also be a good choice for buyers considering Apple's MacBook Neo.
One of the biggest attractions of the HP OmniBook 3 is the 14-inch 2.2K OLED display with a resolution of 2240 x 1400 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is very useful for documents, spreadsheets, web browsing and productivity applications. OLED displays are likely to have deep blacks, strong contrast and bright colours and hence will suit both entertainment as well as work.
The display has 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage which will be particularly useful for users who regularly work with photographs, videos and other colour-sensitive content. HP has also included eye-care features such as low blue light technology and flicker-free DC dimming.
The performance comes from Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Plus, based on power-efficient 4nm architecture. Battery life is also a major feature of the OmniBook 3. It supports 65W USB Type-C Power Delivery charging, and customers can simply plug it into USB-C adapters.
Portability is also an important part of the laptop’s design. The OmniBook 3 weighs about 1.35kg and has a slim profile of less than 15mm.
