Want Netflix for Free? Check These 5 Jio, Airtel and Vi Recharge Plans

If you already pay for a mobile recharge every month, getting Netflix along with your plan can help you save money on entertainment. Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea, also known as Vi, have prepaid plans that bundle a Netflix subscription with regular telecom benefits.

Those plans are useful for people who watch Netflix regularly, and do not want to pay separately for the streaming service. Depending on the plan, users can also get daily data, unlimited voice calls, SMS benefits and access to other OTT platforms.

However, users should check the exact benefits before recharging because telecom companies can change their plans, prices and offers.

Five prepaid options are worth checking if you want Netflix with your mobile recharge

Jio, Airtel and Vi plans with Netflix

1. Jio Rs 1,299 prepaid plan

Jio offers a Rs 1,299 prepaid plan that includes Netflix and telecom benefits. The plan has 84 days of validity and it has 2GB of daily data. Users also get unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day.

The plan also includes unlimited 5G data for eligible users in Jio 5G coverage areas. Other Jio digital services are also included with the recharge.

And if people want a combination of mobile data and Netflix, this is one of the best options.

2. Jio Rs 1,799 prepaid plan

Jio also has a higher priced Rs 1,799 prepaid option with Netflix. This plan also comes with 84 days of validity and offers 3GB of daily data.

Users get unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day along with the Netflix benefits. The plan also includes unlimited 5G data for eligible Jio customers.

This makes more sense for heavy data users who stream videos regularly and need a larger daily data allowance.

3. Airtel Rs 1,798 prepaid plan

Airtel also offers a prepaid plan with Netflix. The Rs 1,798 recharge includes Netflix along with mobile benefits.

The plan offers 3GB of daily data and unlimited voice calling. Users also get 100 SMS per day. The Netflix benefit makes this plan useful for customers who already spend money on the streaming platform.

Airtel has several plans with different OTT benefits, so customers should check if Netflix is included before making the recharge.

4. Vi Rs 1,198 prepaid plan

Vodafone Idea is offering a Rs 1,198 prepaid plan that comes with Netflix Basic. The plan provides daily data, unlimited calling and SMS benefits along with the Netflix subscription.

Vi says customers can claim the Netflix benefit through the Vi app after completing the recharge. Users can also link an existing Netflix account to the plan.

Netflix Basic allows streaming on one device at a time. So the plan is better suited to an individual user rather than a family that wants to watch Netflix on multiple screens simultaneously.

5. Vi Rs 1,599 prepaid plan

Vi also has a higher priced Rs 1,599 prepaid plan with Netflix. According to the current plan listings, this recharge includes a Netflix subscription along with the usual telecom benefits.

The higher priced option may appeal to users who want more data and a longer or more feature-rich recharge package. Customers should check the Vi app for the latest benefits and validity before purchasing the plan because telecom offers can change.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Netflix benefit is not a guarantee that users will get the highest Netflix subscription tier. Vi's prepaid Netflix bundle, for example, has Netflix Basic, which supports viewing on one device at a time.

The same is true of other telecom bundles. The Netflix plan included with a recharge may have specific limits on screen access, video quality and supported devices.

This is why customers must check the details before choosing a recharge.

If you are already planning to spend money on a mobile recharge, a Netflix bundle can add extra value. But you should not choose a much more expensive recharge just because it contains Netflix.

For example, someone who doesn’t actually watch Netflix may save more money if they buy a cheaper mobile plan and pay Netflix separately only when they need to.

On the other hand, Netflix viewers may come to love these bundled plans because they combine two monthly expenses into one recharge.

Jio, Airtel and Vi compete for customers in India’s telecom market, and OTT subscriptions have become an important part of that competition. Telecom companies use streaming services and other digital benefits to make their plans more attractive.

Before making a recharge, compare the price, validity, daily data, calling benefits and Netflix subscription included in the plan.

Also check whether the plan works for your existing Netflix account and whether the benefit is activated manually through the operator's app.

Vi customers can link an existing Netflix account to an eligible plan without cancelling their existing Netflix account first. Once the account is linked successfully, the bundled subscription takes over the billing arrangement.

With telecom companies frequently changing their prepaid offerings, customers should always confirm the latest details in the official app or website before making a payment.

The main takeaway is simple. If you already watch Netflix regularly, a prepaid plan that includes the subscription could help you get more value from your recharge. But compare the complete package instead of choosing a plan based only on the word “free”.
