JioHotstar is reportedly offering its Premium subscription for just Re 1 to a limited number of users, giving eligible customers access to premium content for about one month at a heavily discounted price.
The promotional offer is not available to all subscribers. It is being selectively rolled out to certain accounts, so users may not see the deal even if they meet some of the apparent eligibility conditions.
The offer is available to users who sign in with a Jio mobile number that is not currently connected to an active JioHotstar subscription. Eligible users can claim the promotional membership once, and the plan will be active for around 30 days.
The promotional subscription also allows streaming on two devices at the same time. That way people can access content on smartphones, laptops, and smart TVs depending on the platform’s supported device rules.
But the user should be careful of the auto-renewal setting before paying. If auto-renewal remains active, the subscription will be transferred to the regular paid plan after the promotional period ends, and could result in an automatic charge.
How to Check and Activate the Re 1 JioHotstar Premium Offer
The JioHotstar app will be used to check for the offer.
You can open the JioHotstar application and sign in using your eligible Jio mobile number. Go to the profile section or “My Space” and open the Subscriptions section after logging in.
If the Re 1 Premium promotion is available for the account, users should be able to select the offer and complete the payment using supported payment methods. These may include UPI, debit cards, credit cards, and digital wallets.
After the payment is made, the Premium membership should be activated shortly.
Some users even say that opening the promotional subscription page through an incognito browser window and logging in with an eligible number can help them check whether the offer is available. But this does not ensure access to the deal, since eligibility appears to be determined by the platform.
In addition, users who only want the discounted month should also review their renewal settings. Removing auto-renewal from a subscription before the promotional period ends will save the subscription from automatically being moved to a paid subscription.
The Re 1 offer seems to be a limited promotional campaign rather than a universal subscription deal. So, users should not expect that every Jio customer will be able to claim it.
