Motorola has expanded its smartphone portfolio in India with the new Moto G Max, which is primarily for a long-lasting, reliable and high-end smartphone experience at a very reasonable price. The biggest feature of the new phone is the 7000mAh battery, making it the largest battery-equipped smartphone in the Indian market today.
The Moto G Max is launched at Rs.27,999 for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It is available in Pantone-inspired colours, including Alaskan Blue, Malaga and Stargazer. The device will launch in online and offline stores on August 20.
The Moto G Max has a massive 7000mAh battery that can last for long periods of time, and users can use the battery to stream content as a way to keep it running for long periods for gaming, browse social media, and work at the same time. It has 30W fast charging to quickly recharge the device when needed. Motorola is positioning the smartphone as the best smartphone to buy for long-term battery life, but doesn’t sacrifice quality.
The Moto G Max is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor and LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage technology in the backend and is able to multitask and load apps faster. Motorola also offers the RAM Boost feature to virtually expand memory for faster performance with demanding tasks.
The phone has a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. With the high refresh rate, gaming responsiveness will be better, and the experience will be more fluid. The display is also bright (up to 1050 nits) with great visibility even in bright outdoor conditions.
In the camera department, the Moto G Max has a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 primary sensor and 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP front-facing camera. This will provide good photos, bright colours, and low-light performance for everyday photography.
On the software side, the Moto G Max uses Android 16-based Hello UI. Motorola promises to update Android OS for two years and provide security updates for three years, which is why the software support cycle of the phone is expected to be longer. The Moto G Max also has an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance and provides a higher level of toughness.
The dual-SIM 5G support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack are the best of the best and make this a good value for a battery-hungry phone with support for the right combination of a battery-friendly and high-quality mobile phone in a modern-day smartphone with modern connections.
The large battery life of the Moto G Max, smooth display and low price point will help to attract users looking for a reliable and durable smartphone that can last for long hours of heavy everyday use. With the big battery, processor and graphics display, Motorola is surely going to be able to sell well in India’s competitive mid-range smartphone market, making the Moto G Max a very good value for smartphone users in the sub-₹30,000 budget category.
