OnePlus is preparing to expand its budget smartphone line with the OnePlus N6 Lite which will launch in India on 22 September 2026 at 12 PM IST. OnePlus has officially announced the launch date through its India site and Amazon and technology publications have also announced the launch date.
The company is positioning the N6 Lite around a large battery, smooth display experience and AI-powered features. Yet some of the specifications customers have not yet had a look at these yet.
6.75-Inch 120Hz Display
The OnePlus N6 Lite will be a 6.75-inch display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will also support OnePlus' Aqua Touch technology for touch responsiveness when screen or fingers are wet or oily.
OnePlus does not disclose the display resolution, peak brightness or all panel features yet. That information will be important for buying the phone in comparison to other budget smartphones.
Huge 7,000mAh Battery
Battery life is one of the biggest highlights of the upcoming smartphone. The N6 Lite will have a 7,000mAh battery (OnePlus claims up to three days of power in the tests). The phone also supports wired reverse charging so compatible accessories and other devices can be charged.
OnePlus says the battery will be able to retain more than 80 percent of its original health after six years. But the company has not yet disclosed the phone's charging wattage or charging time.
Camera Details Are Still a Mystery
The camera setup is still one of the biggest unknown areas. While images of the phone show a rear camera module, OnePlus has not officially announced the camera sensors, megapixel count or detailed video capabilities.
Similarly, the selfie camera specifications have not been confirmed. All reports mentioning specific camera configurations should therefore be considered as unconfirmed until OnePlus publishes the full specification sheet.
AI Features and Durability
The N6 Lite will feature AI-oriented features like AI Clear Face and AI Eraser plus Google Gemini integration. These tools are expected to provide photo-editing and productivity-related functions.
The phone has also been tested through MIL-STD-810H according to OnePlus. The handset is expected to be around 215 grams and 8.95mm thick.
OnePlus N6 Lite Price in India
The official India price has not been announced yet. OnePlus is expected to reveal pricing, launch offers and open-sale details on September 22. Some reports have speculated about a sub-₹20,000 price, but this should not be presented as confirmed pricing.
At the moment, the highlighted features are a 6.75-inch 120Hz display, 7,000mAh battery, Aqua Touch, reverse charging, AI features and durability testing.
What Buyers Should Watch For
The September 22 launch should answer the biggest remaining questions: processor, RAM and storage, charging speed, camera sensors, network connectivity, display resolution, IP rating and software-update policy.
