The Jnanabharathi police rushed to the spot and inspected the place. An investigation has been launched to find out what the object is, how it reached there and who left it there.

According to preliminary information, the suspicious object was found in an open vacant place near Soneshalli Circle. It was a cause of concern because it looked like explosive material, and once information about the object reached police Jnanabharathi police station, personnel immediately visited the spot to check the situation.

They started preliminary checks on what kind of object it is and how it came to be there. As far as dynamite is concerned, the possibility has come up as an initial suspicion, but that will be established only after proper checking by the right authorities.

The police are now trying to establish who brought the suspected explosive material to the vacant plot and why it was left there. How it came to be found is also being investigated. They will probably ask people living or working around the area if they saw anything suspicious or unfamiliar near the spot before it was discovered.

If you find a potentially explosive object in an open area (residential or public locality), people could come into contact with it without realising. If handled, moved or disturbed without knowledge and safety precautions, the object can be dangerous so residents should not approach or touch the suspicious material and should call the police immediately if anything unusual is found in the area.

At this stage, it is not known what the object is. The police suspect it’s dynamite but it wouldn’t be right to call it an explosive device before a technical examination has been carried out; they will need to establish whether the material contains any explosive substance and that it can harm people; whether it was deliberately left there or left for some other reason.

This incident has once again brought home the need for public alertness and quick reporting of suspicious objects. Vacant plots, construction sites and isolated places sometimes become dumping grounds for unidentified materials. If people come across an object that looks like a bomb, they should stay at some distance from it and not touch or open it, nor try to move it. They should immediately inform the nearest police station so that trained personnel can look into the matter.

The Jnanabharathi police are investigating who left the object at the site (if anyone) and where it came from (who left it there). Details about its identity, how it was found and whether it is connected to other activities are awaited. The police investigation and technical assessment will determine if it is really explosive or not and whether any further safety measures are needed in the area.

For now, the discovery near Soneshalli Circle has alerted people about a potential safety problem in the area. People should be alert, do not move around unnecessarily near suspicious object and cooperate with police during investigation. Officials will give more information once they know what material it is.
