Samsung Galaxy S27 Series Leaks Reveal Display Sizes, RAM Options and Storage Details: What to Expect

It’s a new leak, Samsung's next generation of flagships are already making news and new leaks are giving us a glimpse of what all of the specifications of the Galaxy S27 series are expected to be exhibited in the Galaxy S27 series. Samsung has not yet provided an official announcement on the new line-up of smartphones, but there are news that Samsung could have several models with different display sizes, memory sizes and storage capacities in early 2027.

The latest leak centers on screen protectors for Samsung Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+ and Galaxy S27 Ultra. The accessories provide an early indication of the dimensions Samsung might adopt for its upcoming smartphones. The standard Galaxy S27 may have a 6.27-inch display, while the Galaxy S27+ could have a 6.66-inch screen. The premium Galaxy S27 Ultra will have a bigger 6.89-inch screen.

Interestingly, we didn’t see the Galaxy S27 Pro in the latest leak of the screen protector. Samsung could launch this new version in addition to the current variants, including the standard, Plus and Ultra. But the launch date and specifications of this new model have not been confirmed and its launch date is not finalized at this time.

The leaks also indicate RAM and storage configurations could change across the line. While earlier reports suggested that 12GB RAM might be the standard configuration for most models, the more recent reports suggest that Samsung might opt for 8GB RAM for the cheaper models and 16GB RAM for the Pro model.

Since the Galaxy S27 series is still several months away from being released, we should take these details to be rumours not specifications for the Galaxy S27.

Samsung Galaxy S27, S27+ and S27 Ultra Display Sizes

Display size is one of the more interesting details that leaked. Samsung seems to have three flagship devices planned with clear screen sizes which could give consumers a choice between a relatively small phone and a huge phone for multimedia consumption and productivity.

The best thing about it is its 6.27-inch screen size will be what most buyers want, the smartphone that is less difficult and has the best features and the best of all of them.

We could expect a 6.66-inch display for the Galaxy S27+ to be in between the standard S27 and the Ultra model. It’s a better than normal Galaxy S27+’s screen size. The larger display could help them to watch videos, play games, browse and multitask.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to be the biggest model in the reported line with a 6.89-inch screen. The larger panel might allow you to add productivity features, media playback and other premium smartphone experiences.

The leaked screen protectors are said to have rounded corners and a punch hole camera in the center of the three models. The Galaxy S27 Ultra could also have slightly fewer bezels but the information available does not suggest a significant redesign.

It means Samsung will probably work on further refining the existing design and not a completely different appearance. But the final dimensions, display technology and design features will be only clear once Samsung officially unveils the devices.

Galaxy S27 Pro Could Join the Flagship Lineup

The Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro could be the next one. The product could even be a new option available to consumers who want premium specifications, but not necessarily the Ultra model.

The Galaxy S27 Pro is rumoured to have a 6.47-inch display (which is larger than the Galaxy S27+). That would give Samsung another screen size option in its flagship line.

But that the Pro model did not appear in the latest screen protector leak raised questions about when it would be released. Accessory leaks do not always contain all devices in a planned line-up, and the omission does not necessarily mean Samsung has canceled the model.

The reported 6.47-inch display is not yet confirmed. The phone's camera system, battery capacity, processor and other hardware features are also yet to be revealed.

If Samsung does launch it, the Galaxy S27 Pro would further expand Samsung’s premium smartphone portfolio and give consumers another choice between standard and Ultra versions.

Samsung Galaxy S27 RAM and Storage Configurations Leaked

Memory and storage specifications are another area where Samsung Galaxy S27 series reports seem to differ. Samsung could provide 12GB RAM in much of the lineup, with the Ultra getting a 16GB RAM option and 1TB of storage.

Newer reports point to a more diverse range of configurations. The standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ could come with 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB and 512GB storage.

The Galaxy S27 Pro will also have 12GB RAM, and another 16GB version with 12GB RAM is also likely. Storage will be 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. The Galaxy S27 Ultra could have 12GB/16GB RAM configurations with storage up to 1TB.

These reported options would allow Samsung to differentiate its models more clearly based on price and performance. But the final configurations might vary by market and Samsung has not confirmed any of these specifications.

LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.1 Storage Could Be Considered

Some reports also suggested that Samsung could adopt new memory and storage technology for its premium products. Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra are rumoured to be candidates for LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.1 for memory and storage.

If implemented, these technologies can increase memory bandwidth and data-transfer performance compared to earlier generations, depending on the final hardware implementation. Faster memory and storage can be used for demanding applications, multitasking and AI-powered smartphone features.

It is not clear if these technologies will be included in all configurations or only in a few premium versions. And cost, component availability and product positioning might also have an impact on Samsung's choice.

The possibility of an 8GB RAM configuration for the standard Galaxy S27 and S27+ is also worth watching. Samsung may be able to compare memory options for a user to decide in the end which is better for their needs.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Series Launch Timeline: What to Expect

Samsung has not made any announcement in terms of when the Galaxy S27 series would be launched and when it’s expected to launch. Early 2027 is most likely the date, possibly January or February, but Samsung could change it.

At this stage the display sizes provide an early indication of how Samsung might position its next flagship lineup. The standard Galaxy S27 is speculated to have a 6.27-inch screen, S27+ a 6.66-inch display and S27 Ultra a 6.89-inch display. The potential Galaxy S27 Pro could have a 6.47-inch screen if that’s the final one.

RAM and storage details are less certain, with reports suggesting a number of configurations and even possible upgrades to memory and storage technology.

Until Samsung makes an official announcement, buyers should avoid viewing these leaks as final specifications. Details about processor, cameras, battery, pricing and availability will come out closer to launch day.

The Galaxy S27 series in general will have a familiar look as there are probably several hardware configurations for different parts of the premium smartphone market. It is unclear whether Samsung will introduce the rumoured Pro model and adopt the RAM configurations that have been reported ahead of the launch of 2027.
