Vivo is expanding its T-series smartphone line-up in India with the Vivo T5 Lite 5G which will launch on 16th July 2026 at 12:00 PM IST. Ahead of the official release date, the company has already revealed a few details on the budget 5G smartphone and leaks have already revealed the exact specifications, pricing and features of the phone.
The Vivo T5 Lite 5G will be sold exclusively through Flipkart and will be a good choice for the budget smartphone with 5G connectivity, a big battery and AI-based features.
Expected Price in India
According to industry leaks, Vivo T5 Lite 5G is expected to be priced at Rs 17,999 for the base version with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Vivo has not officially announced the price but the expected price point puts the device in the competitive budget 5G space, where it will compete with smartphones from Realme, Redmi, Motorola and iQOO.
The smartphone will be available in two colours - Blue and Black. And promotional teasers also reveal that one of the variants will have a marble-like finish which makes it different from the budget pricing.
Display and Performance
Leaks indicate that the Vivo T5 Lite 5G will have a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate which should smooth scrolling, gaming and animations. The panel will also have up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness and be more accessible outdoors in the sunlight.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset could be powering the smartphone and based on a fast 6nm chip. And it is meant to deliver a balanced performance for our everyday work, social media, multitasking and casual gaming while also supporting next-generation 5G connectivity.
The device will support 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, for faster app loading times and better overall performance. Vivo may also support virtual RAM expansion so users can use virtual RAM as temporary memory for faster multitasking.
Battery and Software
One of the biggest highlights of the Vivo T5 Lite 5G could be its 6,500mAh battery which is significantly larger than what is commonly seen in this price segment. The battery should be able to offer all-day usage and could easily last well into a second day for moderate users.
In order to fill the battery, the smartphone is tipped to support 44W FlashCharge which allows for quicker charging and less downtime.
On the software side, the handset is expected to run Android 16 with OriginOS 6 layered on top. Vivo also intends to add AI-driven productivity features such as AI Transcript Assist, AI Captions, AI Creation, AI Documents, and Private Space to the phone to make it nice and convenient for the users.
Camera Features
For photography, the Vivo T5 Lite 5G is expected to have a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera coupled with a 2MP secondary camera for depth sensing. AI-enhanced photography modes such as portrait, low-light and scene recognition will be prevalent in the camera system.
At the front of the phone, the device would have a 5MP selfie camera, which would be useful for video calls, online meetings and social media content.
Security and Connectivity
The smartphone is also expected to have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button and Face Unlock for quick and secure access.
In terms of connectivity, we can expect dual-SIM 5G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C and other standard features usually found in modern smartphones.
