In this year, more devotees are expected to visit this year than in previous editions. According to Hassan district in-charge minister Shivalinge Gowda, the administration is working to make sure visitors can have a smooth and safe darshan while reducing long waiting periods in queues.

A temple which is open to devotees for a limited time of the year is a target for devotees in other parts of the country, and this festival is one of the major festivals for worshipers from a lot of places in Karnataka.

Hasanamba VIP Darshan Timings

The administration has adopted a time window for VIP darshan to manage the flow of visitors.

According to the minister, VIP darshan is scheduled from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The rest of the darshan hours are for the general public, but devotees should follow the official entry instructions and schedules given by the authorities.

The minister said a separate system for VIPs and ordinary devotees is going to be introduced. All this is aimed at preventing confusion and disruptions during the festival.

According to reports, the administration is preparing for about 3,500 VIP visitors. The minister also mentioned a ₹1,000 public pass, but devotees should confirm the pass category, availability, eligibility, and booking procedure through official district administration or temple announcements before making payments.

More than 25 lakh devotees visited last year

The Hasanamba Temple festival attracts large crowds every year because the deity is available for darshan only for a certain period. Shivalinge Gowda said around 25 lakh devotees visited the temple last year.

Focusing on the police and revenue administration in preparation for large crowds, departments including the police and revenue administration are coordinating arrangements for crowd management, queue management, and visitor safety.

The administration is also working to reduce the time people spend waiting in queues. The tourists are advised to plan their journey ahead of time, read the latest official announcements, and arrive at the time and entry conditions of their tickets/passes.

The festival will be big and grand, and arrangements should be made for local devotees and pilgrims from other districts.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Invited

The Hassan district administration has invited Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to the Hasanamba temple festival.

On October 23, 2026, district in-charge minister Shivalinge Gowda, Hassan MP Shreyas Patel, Deputy Commissioner Latha Kumari, and Superintendent of Police Shubhanvita met Shivakumar in Bengaluru to extend the invitation.

Other state ministers and dignitaries have also been invited to attend the festival. Their participation will depend on their schedules and official arrangements.

Special system planned for VIPs and the Public

The minister said the administration has introduced a specific system to manage VIP and general darshan separately. He also commented on reports of three ministers being stopped by police during the Nandi Dhwaja Puja at the Mysuru Dasara celebrations.

Shivalinge Gowda said he did not have full information about that incident but that the same confusion should not happen during the Hasanamba festival. He said the administration was in the process of establishing a dedicated arrangement for visitors.
