The footage has gone viral on social media where people have asked how public cleanliness standards can be maintained when the people cleaning trains are allegedly seen disposing waste irresponsibly.

The incident has once again put sanitation practice in Indian trains under scanner. Instead of collecting the waste properly and disposing it through designed system staff member in the video is seen throwing garbage directly on tracks while tarin is moving.

The video has been criticised by passengers and social media users many of whom were disappointed with the behaviour. Several people have also questioned what is the point of railway cleanliness campaigns if such practices continue during regular train services.

The viral video raises concern about railway cleanliness

The footage has reignited the debate about who represents onboard housekeeping staff . The cleaning personnel are supposed to clean inside train coaches ( collect food wrappers , plastic bottles , leftover food and other waste produced during journeys) .

However dumping collected garbage onto railway tracks creates another sanitation problem rather than solving the original one . Waste left alone railway lines can also contribute to environmental pollution and make railway surroundings hard to maintain .

Social Media Users Question Accountability

The incident has raised questions whether monitoring and supervision is being done properly to ensure cleaning contractors and railway housekeeping teams are following proper waste-disposal procedures.

Passengers expect railway staff to clean coaches and use waste management responsibly. If waste collected from train compartments is thrown out then the whole point of onboard cleaning services is lost.

Social media users have also asked for stronger monitoring and action against employees who violate sanitation procedures. They feel railway authorities should look into such incidents rather than treating them as isolated cases.
