IBPS CSA Recruitment 2026: 11,403 Banking Vacancies Announced; Karnataka Gets 1,414 Posts

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released its much-awaited IBPS CSA Recruitment 2026 notification, inviting online applications for 11,403 Customer Service Associate (CSA) posts across participating public sector banks in India. The recruitment drive offers one of the biggest employment opportunities for banking aspirants this year.

Candidates can submit their applications through the official IBPS website until August 21, 2026.

11,403 Vacancies Across India

The recruitment aims to fill 11,403 Customer Service Associate (CSA) posts. It may be noted that the IBPS Clerk post was officially renamed Customer Service Associate (CSA) in 2024.

Among all states:

  • Uttar Pradesh: 1,731 vacancies
  • Karnataka: 1,414 vacancies
  • Maharashtra: 1,051 vacancies
  • West Bengal: 946 vacancies
  • Delhi-NCR: 415 vacancies

The large number of vacancies in Karnataka makes this an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking government banking jobs in the state.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive a starting basic pay of approximately ₹24,050, along with Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, medical benefits, and other allowances as per bank rules.

Educational Qualification

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Possess basic computer knowledge.
  • Be able to read, write, and speak the local language of the state they are applying for (Kannada for Karnataka vacancies).

Age Limit

Applicants should be:

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years

Age relaxation will be provided to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-servicemen, and other reserved categories as per Government of India guidelines.

Revised Main Examination Pattern

IBPS has introduced significant changes to the Main Examination for CSA recruitment.

Key changes include:

  • Total questions increased from 155 to 160
  • Exam duration increased from 120 minutes to 125 minutes
  • Quantitative Aptitude questions increased from 35 to 40

There are no changes in the Preliminary Examination pattern.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of:

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination
  3. Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) (for candidates who have not studied the local language up to Class 10 or above)

The Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature, while the final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Main Examination.

Application Fee

The application fee is:

  • SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: ₹175
  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹850
