According to the latest news, audio rights for Ayogya 2 have been divvied up to Anand Audio for an astonishing Rs 2 crore. This kind of deal really puts the heat on Gandhinagar (which is the heart of the Kannada film industry) - a mega audio-rights deal of such a magnitude does indeed bring up some heat due to the enormous stakes for the music on all fronts and the general commercial potential of the film.

Ayogya’s 2018 take at the Kannada box office was well received. The Mahesh Kumar-directed feature was a huge windfall for actor Ninasam Satish with a nice on-screen relationship between himself and actress Rachita Ram. The general public loved their chemistry.

Consequently, the film gained instant acclaim. Music composed by the music director Arjun Janya was one of its strongest features. Songs from this film went off the charts, notably the romantic tune “Enammi Enammi.” A hit in Kannada music, it has been an irresistible hit for years since its first release.

The soundtrack of the first film appears to have been one of the key reasons for the enormous demand for that sequel’s musical rights. Bulk audio arrangement of Rs 2 crore means distributors and music companies have faith in the sequel’s album, according to some industry minds.

Mahesh Kumar, who directed the initial part of the film, will return to direct the next instalment of the film, Ayogya 2, and the team keeps the winning lead duo of Ninasam Satish and Rachita Ram, with the idea that it could achieve the magic achieved in the original film.

Last week, an exclusive video from the production team about the audio rights deal was released, which got news on social media. Fans welcomed the latest and expected more promotional materials from the movie. Producer M. Munegowda is apparently turning it into a big deal; a big theatrical release over the rainy season has his eyes set on one.

The film is currently in live production, sources say, but the producers hope to develop more than just a lucrative commercial entertainment with well-timed melodrama, but a mass of emotion and action, comedy and music. Arjun Janya (also a writing team member for the sequel’s music).

Considering the first film’s powerful songs, the expectations around the first scores for the sequel's soundtrack were high in a way. On arrival, there is also a thought that the album with music might be one of the film's big draws. In recent years, the growing Kannada film industry has attracted greater attention both for music and digital rights licensing, in particular around films with a legacy franchise.

Even before its release, Ayogya 2 received a warm response. The results already demonstrate how lucrative cash-making Kannada commercial cinema is nowadays, or more accurately, has increased in value. And there is a revival of a successful team, a strong lead pair and huge passion for Ayogya 2 as well as its music, together with a strong lead couple combined with tremendous enthusiasm, would surely make it the Kannada film next season's hottest film. Now, fans look forward to a big teaser, songs and the official announcement of its release date.
