Dominating the Domestic Market

The film is experiencing an unprecedented surge in India, particularly in the Delhi-NCR and Mumbai circuits. Trade analysts reported that the movie sold more than 200,000 tickets within the first 24 hours after the booking gates opened.

  • Hindi Heartland: Overall, nearly ₹12.3 crore is attributed to the Hindi version.
  • Pan-India Appeal: With Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions performing notably better in Chennai and Hyderabad, the franchise is gaining strong traction in the South for the first time.
  • Premium Pricing: Multiplex chains (especially PVR-INOX) have introduced a "Super Blockbuster Plus" category for the previews, costing up to ₹2,500 for certain premium-branded formats.

North American Rampage

North America was the home front (USA & Canada) for Ranveer Singh. So far, the first-weekend advance bookings for the film have already exceeded USD 1.7 million. By the time the first show begins, the movie is expected to reach the USD 2 million mark, with Texas and California as key sales destinations for the hit, according to reports.

The Clash of 2026

Released on March 19, 2026, in anticipation of Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi festivals, Dhurandhar 2 was supposed to make its debut in a massive clash with Yash’s Toxic. However, with Toxic reportedly changing its release date due to regional production issues, the stage is set for Dhurandhar 2 to aim for the biggest opening weekend in Indian cinema history. Running at a massive 3 hours and 55 minutes, the sequel is expected to portray a grittier, bloodier extension of Jaskirat Singh Rangi’s ordinary criminal life in Karachi.
