Following the phenomenal global success and record-breaking box office run of Kantara: Chapter 1, National Award-winning actor and filmmaker Rishab Shetty visited the holy town of Mantralaya on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Accompanied by his wife, Pragathi Shetty, and their children, the "Divine Star" offered special prayers at the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha.
The Sacred Pilgrimage: Devotion First
Adhering to long-standing traditions, Rishab Shetty and his family began their spiritual journey by visiting the Manchalamma Devi Temple, the presiding deity of Mantralaya. It is a customary practice for devotees to seek the blessings of the Goddess before proceeding to the Moola Brindavana of Guru Raghavendra Swamy.
After the Devi Darshan, the family visited the main shrine to offer prayers to Guru Raghavendra Swamy. Dressed in traditional attire—a simple white veshti and shawl—Rishab was seen in a deep state of devotion, expressing gratitude for his recent professional milestones.
Blessings from the Pontiff
Following the darshan, the Shetty family met with Sri Subudhendra Teertha Swamiji, the current peethadhipati (head) of the Raghavendra Swamy Matha. The Swamiji blessed the actor and his family with Mantrakshate and a commemorative shawl, wishing him continued success in his cinematic endeavors and contributions to Indian culture.
"Rishab Shetty's dedication to portraying Indian roots and traditions through cinema is commendable. May Guru Rayaru's blessings always be with him," the Matha officials noted.
Fans Throng the Matha
News of the Kantara star’s presence spread rapidly through the temple town, leading to a massive gathering of fans and devotees. Despite the heavy security, people caught a glimpse of the actor, who greeted the crowd with his trademark humility and folded hands.
A Year of Spiritual Gratitude
This visit is part of Rishab Shetty’s ongoing "Thank You" tour. In late 2025, the actor has visited several major spiritual centers across India, including:
- Varanasi: For Ganga Aarti and Kashi Vishwanath Darshan.
- Rameswaram: Following the ₹500 crore collection milestone.
- Mangaluru: To fulfill a vow at the Panjurli Daivasthana.
The actor is currently preparing for the final schedule of his next project, which continues to explore the rich folklore of coastal Karnataka.
