Samantha Ruth Prabhu takes the heart and soul to finally respond in a deep and honest in-depth conversation with Vogue India on February 23, 2026. The star, having been the focus of public scrutiny at times, took steps to clarify the nature of her marriage with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru and debunk the rumor around divorce.
Samantha confirmed the healing nature of her marriage with Raj on December 1, 2025, at the spiritual Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore after separating from the actor Naga Chaitanya in 2021. Samantha opened up when she explained that once her first marriage ended she went through a time of emotional "closure," admitting that she had to "close up completely" and that at times she even thought she could never trust another human being again.
She recalls a time she felt like she was “struggling to breathe” beneath the burden of her past. But she credits Raj’s presence in her life for allowing her to discover her fragility again. “I’m a much better person because of the relationship I’m in,” she said, noting that even those closest to her have observed her no longer “performing”, but living her life with peace.
The couple encountered each other on The Family Man Season 2’s sets, and then worked together on the Indian version of Citadel, now spanning from powerhouse professional couple to devoted married couple. Challenging gossip and rumors of disaster in their "honeymoon phase," Samantha jokingly described themselves as that “irritating couple” that do everything together from working and traveling to the morning workout.
She rejected any idea of a superficial bond, claiming “too much time has passed” and it is not something they’ll be able to maintain over the long haul. In addition to the personal growth aspects, Samantha added, this partnership has benefited her craft.
