Tollywood stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna brought joy to the quiet Telangana village of Thummanpet where Deverakonda’s father was born when they offered merit scholarships to local schoolchildren. The initiative was organized through The Deverakonda Foundation and awarded scholarships to first- and second-rank holders in Classes 9 and 10 from 45 government schools in the region.
The atmosphere at the event was warm and friendly. Deverakonda spoke passionately about his dream of expanding the scholarship program in Telangana to allow talented students from rural areas to receive recognition and help. He emphasized that education is the bedrock of empowerment and the foundation for the future and pledged to fund programs that develop young people.
Rashmika Mandanna added her own encouragement to the children in Telugu. She said that both victories and setbacks are learning opportunities for them and they need to grow alongside parents and teachers. She really touched the students and they were moved by the couple’s presence and message.
